It was time to do the first bird survey of the year this weekend and to be honest not a lot to report in the way of incoming summer visitors or migrants. Quite a few Chiffchaff were around, but otherwise common countryside birds including Yellowhammer, Red-legged Partridge, Pheasant and Skylark.
