As I’m sure you have heard this November there has been a large influx of Waxwings, hopefully leading to what we know as a “waxwing winter”.
We went in to town this weekend to get a view on one of the larger flocks reported so far, about 150 birds congregating around the hospital.
They were spectacular, and I strongly advise anyone to take the opportunity to view these hugely attractive birds.

I've never had the pleasure of seeing a Waxwing. I'll keep my eyes peeled!
